Aggie Movers Company — professional Moving Services in College Station, TX

The truck pulling away is not the end of a move. It's the part where you're standing in a hallway in Bryan at nine at night, holding a box labeled miscwondering where the coffee maker went. Aggie Movers Company unpacks for a living. We open the boxes, put things where they belong, break down the cardboard and take it with us so your new place looks like a home instead of a warehouse.

Boxes emptied, beds made, cardboard gone the same visit

Unpacking is a real service with real labor behind it, not a favor tacked onto a delivery. A crew arrives, you point at rooms, and we work through them in the order that matters to you. Everything comes out of the box, gets wiped down if it needs it, and goes onto a shelf or into a drawer. Packing paper gets balled up and bagged. Flattened boxes leave with the crew.

  • Full-house unpacking — every box opened and emptied, room by room, until the last one is gone and the floors are clear.
  • Kitchen setup — dishes, glassware and pantry goods unwrapped, washed-and-stacked where you want them, and small appliances plugged in and sitting flat.
  • Bedroom and closet unpacking — beds assembled and made up, wardrobe boxes hung straight into the closet so nothing sits creased in a carton for a week.
  • Bathroom and linen — towels folded onto shelves, toiletries out of plastic bags and onto the counter, medicine cabinet stocked so morning one feels normal.
  • Furniture placement and reassembly — tables, bed frames and shelving put back together and moved around as many times as it takes to get the layout right.
  • Debris removal — flattened boxes, paper, bubble wrap and tape hauled off so you aren't driving cardboard to the curb for a month.
  • Partial unpacking — pick two or three rooms, usually the kitchen and the bedrooms, and handle the rest yourself at your own speed.

Kitchen first, then closets: how our crews work a house

There's an order that makes a house livable fastest, and we've learned it the hard way across a lot of College Station driveways. Kitchen first, because that's where a family actually functions. Then beds, so nobody sleeps on a mattress on the floor. Then bathrooms, then closets, then the living room, then the garage and the stuff you'd honestly rather sort through yourself.

  1. Walk the house with you and agree on which rooms get finished and where the big pieces land.
  2. Set up furniture first so there are shelves, dressers and cabinets to unpack into
  3. Work one room at a time, keeping the mess contained instead of spreading open boxes across the whole floor.
  4. Flatten and stack cardboard as we go, bagging paper and wrap at each doorway.
  5. Final walkthrough with you, then load the debris and take it away.

Nobody should have to live out of boxes for three weeks. That's the whole reason we do unpacking.

Dorm rooms, faculty homes, and long-haul arrivals from Houston or Dallas

Student moves are a big part of what we do, and a dorm or apartment unpack is a fast, cheap job that saves a weekend. We also unpack for faculty and staff landing in Bryan and College Station, for retirees downsizing into something smaller, and for families arriving from Houston, Dallas, Austin or San Antonio who've already spent two days in a car and have nothing left in the tank.

The service runs across the whole area we cover — Millican, Snook, Iola, Anderson, Somerville, Navasota, Roans Prairie, Washington, Lyons, Mumford, Caldwell, North Zulch, Bedias, Wheelock, Hearne, Brenham, Madisonville and Rockdale, plus the four big Texas metros. If your town isn't on that list, see all 24 service areas or just ask us.

If we packed and moved you, unpacking is simpler still — our crew labeled the boxes, so they already know what's in them and which room it came out of. Owner Wailan Watson keeps the same people on a job from load to unload where he can, which is why the unpack tends to go quicker than clients expect.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take the empty boxes away?

Yes. We flatten cardboard and bag up paper, bubble wrap and tape as we unpack, then load it all onto the truck when we leave. You shouldn't be hauling boxes to the curb for weeks after a move.

Can I just have the kitchen done?

Absolutely, and it's one of the most common requests we get. Pick the rooms that matter most — usually the kitchen and bedrooms — and handle the rest on your own schedule.

Will you decide where everything goes?

Only if you want us to. Most people walk the house with us first and say which cabinet the dishes go in and which closet is whose. Where you don't have a preference, we use common sense and tell you where we put things at the final walkthrough.

Do you unpack if another company did the move?

Yes. We'll unpack boxes we didn't pack. It takes a bit longer because we're reading someone else's labels, but it's no problem at all.

Can you unpack a student apartment or dorm room?

That's a regular job for us around College Station. Small spaces go fast — boxes emptied, bed made, closet hung and the cardboard gone before move-in traffic dies down.

Do you reassemble furniture during the unpack?

We do. Bed frames, dining tables, shelving and desks get put back together, and we'll shift the big pieces around until the room layout actually works for you.
