Third-floor walkups, narrow stairwells, and 30-minute loading zones
Apartment moving is its own skill. A house gives you a driveway and a wide front door. An apartment gives you a shared stairwell, a freight elevator someone else booked, a dumpster blocking the only spot the truck fits, and a leasing office with opinions about all of it. Aggie Movers Company has been loading and unloading apartments around College Station and Bryan long enough that none of that slows us down.
Owner Wailan Watson runs the crews, and the approach is simple: show up with the right equipment, wrap what needs wrapping, carry it carefully, and don't scuff the hallway on the way out. Most apartment residents are working against a lease date, a cleaning deadline, or a deposit. We move like we know that.
What an apartment move with our crew actually looks like
We quote based on what you're actually moving, not a vague guess. Tell us the unit size, the floor, whether there's an elevator, and where a truck can legally park, and we can plan the day properly instead of improvising in a stairwell.
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly — bed frames, desks, bunk beds and sectional sofas come apart so they clear the doorframe, then go back together in the new place with the hardware still in the bag we taped to them.
- Protective wrapping and padding — blankets on dressers and headboards, shrink wrap on upholstery, corner protection on anything with a finish you care about. Fewer scratches means fewer arguments with your landlord.
- Stair and walkup carries — no elevator, no problem. Our crews are equipped and staffed for multi-flight carries, so a third-floor unit doesn't turn into a six-hour day.
- Elevator and loading-dock moves — we work with the building's rules, pad the elevator if management requires it, and keep the lobby clear while we shuttle loads.
- Appliance and heavy-item handling — washers, dryers, mini fridges, treadmills and gun safes get dollies, straps and enough hands on them to move safely through a tight turn.
- Loading your own truck or container — if you've already rented the truck, hire us just for the muscle and the loading plan. Weight gets distributed properly so nothing shifts on the highway.
- Long-distance apartment moves — one crew, one truck, straight through to Houston, Dallas, Austin or San Antonio instead of your things sitting on a terminal floor somewhere.
Student leases, mid-lease upgrades, and moves out of state
Around College Station, apartment moving has a rhythm. Leases turn over together, every complex is busy at once, and the gap between move-out and move-in is sometimes a single afternoon. We've worked plenty of those days. We also handle the quieter ones — a couple upgrading from a one-bedroom to a two, a graduate loading a studio's worth of furniture for a job in Dallas, a family member relocating a parent from a larger home into a manageable apartment.
Storage-unit runs fit the same pattern. If half your furniture is going into a unit and half is coming with you, say so when you book. We'll plan the load order so we're not unpacking the truck twice.
Tell us the floor, the elevator situation, and where the truck can park. Everything else is our problem, not yours.
Where we load and unload apartments
College Station and Bryan are home base, and we work steadily through Millican, Snook, Iola, Anderson, Somerville, Navasota, Roans Prairie, Washington, Lyons, Mumford, Caldwell, North Zulch, Bedias, Wheelock, Hearne, Brenham, Madisonville and Rockdale. Long-haul apartment moves run to Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.
If your complex sits somewhere not listed above, ask anyway — we cover a wide stretch of the Brazos Valley and beyond, and we'd rather tell you yes than have you assume no.
