Aggie Movers Company — professional Moving Services in College Station, TX

Sectionals through narrow doorways, pianos down stairs, heirlooms that can't get scratched

Furniture is the part of a move that goes wrong. Boxes forgive you. A walnut dresser does not. Aggie Movers Company gets called when somebody has a sleeper sofa that won't make the corner at the top of the stairs, an upright piano in a Bryan living room that has to come out today, or a grandmother's armoire that is going to be in the family for another sixty years if it survives the truck ride.

We do furniture moving as its own job, not an afterthought bolted onto a packing service. That means the right straps, the right padding, the right number of hands, and people who have already figured out which way the recliner has to tilt before they pick it up. Owner Wailan Watson runs the company out of the College Station area, and the crews work the whole Brazos Valley as well as long hauls to the big Texas metros.

How we handle the pieces you'd rather not trust to just anybody

The approach is boring on purpose. Measure first. Pad everything. Disassemble what's safer in pieces. Walk the route before anything leaves the room. Most furniture damage happens because somebody was in a hurry at a doorway, so we slow down exactly there.

  • Wrapping and padding — moving blankets, shrink wrap and corner protection on anything with a finish, legs, glass or upholstery
  • Disassembly and reassembly — bed frames, sectional modules, table legs, headboards and shelving units come apart and go back together with the hardware kept together, not loose in a box
  • Heavy and awkward specialty pieces — pianos, gun safes, armoires, hutches, treadmills, pool table components and marble-top furniture
  • Stairs, tight turns and apartments — second and third floor College Station apartments, duplexes and houses with the kind of staircase that was clearly designed before sectionals existed
  • In-home moves — rearranging a room, clearing furniture for new flooring or carpet, or hauling pieces up from a garage or down from an attic
  • Single-item hauls — one couch, one bedroom set, one marketplace find that won't fit in your car

One couch or a whole house — the job gets the same crew and the same care

Plenty of movers won't touch a one-item job. We will. If you bought a dining table two towns over and you've got no truck and no second set of arms, that's a legitimate call. If you're a student clearing out of an apartment near campus and the futon is the only thing you can't handle yourself, same answer.

On the other end, we load out full households — every room, every piece, padded and blanket-wrapped and tied off in the truck so nothing shifts between here and the new place. Residential or commercial, the furniture handling is identical: break-room tables and conference-room credenzas get wrapped the same way a bedroom suite does.

If it's heavy, awkward, or worth something to you, that's exactly the kind of piece we want to carry.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you move just one piece of furniture?

Yes. Single-item furniture hauls are a normal job for us — one couch, one piano, one dresser, one marketplace pickup. Tell us the piece, the pickup address and the drop-off, and we'll quote it.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

We do. Bed frames, table legs, sectional modules, headboards and shelving come apart when that's the safer way through a doorway, and we reassemble at the destination with the hardware kept with its piece.

Can you move a piano?

Yes, pianos are one of the specialty items we handle. Let us know the type — upright, console, spinet or grand — along with any stairs at either end, so we send the right crew and equipment.

How is the furniture protected during the move?

Moving blankets, shrink wrap and corner protection on finished surfaces, upholstery and glass, then tied off inside the truck so nothing slides or leans against anything else in transit.

Do you handle stairs and upper-floor apartments?

Regularly. A lot of our College Station work is second and third floor apartments. We walk the route and measure the tight turns before we start carrying.

Do you move furniture out of the area to other Texas cities?

Yes. Along with local Brazos Valley moves, we haul furniture to Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.
